Video Stories of Forgotten Food contains a collection of videos with a duration of 5 minutes each that were selected as finalists for the food-themed digital narrative competition in the 2021 National Culture Week. Documentation of forgotten food is important as an archive as well as an inspiration for efforts to preserve the food culture of the archipelago. There are 4 videos, among others, entitled; (1) Jawak, a local cereal plant that is grown side by side with rice in the Belitung area complete with philosophical stories and local traditional wisdom, (2) Deppa Tori, a typical Toraja dish that is often served to guests made from rice flour and brown sugar which is processed with the traditional way, (3) Tofu Ledok, even though it is already popular, making tofu remains an art in itself in each region, such as in Bojonegoro, (4) Nasi Tekor, a Balinese food that is served very traditionally. Through this video, we will get to know people who are still practicing the preservation of ancestral food culture.

Video Stories of Forgotten Food berisikan kumpulan video dengan durasi masing-masing 5 menit yang terpilih sebagai finalis kompetisi narasi digital bertema pangan dalam Pekan Kebudayaan Nasional 2021. Dokumentasi pangan terlupakan penting dilakukan sebagai arsip sekaligus inspirasi bagi upaya pelestarian budaya pangan nusantara. Ada 4 video tersebut antara lain berjudul; (1) Jawak, tanaman jenis serealia lokal yang ditanam berdampingan dengan padi di daerah Belitung lengkap dengan cerita filosofis dan kearifan tradisi setempat, (2) Deppa Tori, penganan khas Suku Toraja yang seringkali disajikan untuk tamu berbahan tepung beras dan gula merah yang diolah dengan cara tradisional, (3) Tahu Ledok, meski sudah populer, pembuatan tahu tetap menjadi seni tersendiri di tiap daerah, seperti misalnya Bojonegoro, (4) Nasi Tekor, makanan khas Bali yang disuguhkan sangat tradisional. Melalui tayangan video ini, kita akan berkenalan dengan sosok-sosok yang masih mempraktekkan upaya pelestarian budaya pangan warisan leluhur.
