Amy Baard was born in Paarl, South Africa, and has spent most of her career working throughout Southeast Asia. After finishing her study at Culinary Academy, Amy has chaffed from Vietnam to crazy Bangkok, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Japan. Even though she has worked in large hospitality projects and wildly creative events, what she enjoys most is actually creating simple, wholesome dishes that recall food memories, awakening a sense of travel, adventure, and discovery. During her stint in Bangkok, she partook in Iron Chef Thailand 2014, where she was crowned the youngest winner of the competition. She loves embracing the power of nourishing, and how food can bring people together and is currently Chef at Naga House of Noods and The Black Box Provisions Bali.
