Cat Wheeler – Slow Food Bali

Canadian writer Cat Wheeler has lived in Bali since 2000. Granddaughter of a farmer and Co-founder of Slow Food Bali, she is deeply concerned about food security. Cat takes an interest in every aspect of Indonesia’s culinary culture, ranging from Indigenous foods, traditional rice cultivation and herbal remedies to fine dining with a focus on locally produced ingredients.

Penulis Kanada Cat Wheeler telah menetap di Bali sejak tahun 2000. Sebagai cucu dari seorang petani dan salah satu pendiri Slow Food Bali, ia sangat memperhatikan isu ketahanan pangan. Cat menaruh minat besar pada setiap aspek dari budaya kuliner Indonesia, mulai dari masakan daerah, budidaya padi secara tradisional, dan pengobatan herbal, hingga hidangan yang diproduksi dari bahan-bahan lokal.
