Karthik Shetty is the General Manager for Chope Indonesia. He began his career as a computer engineer in Bangalore, India, working for GXS, a GE company, where he was involved in developing online products for supply chain management. His fascination with food science got him interested into the world of F&B, from where he started to review restaurants for a national newspaper in Bangalore on weekends. He then moved on to work at Zomato, one of the most successful F&B startups in India, and was credited for the successful launch and growth of Zomato in Indonesia. For the last 5 years, Karthik has been spearheading the growth of Chope Indonesia, educating the F&B industry about the use of technology and data, as well as educating the public about the need to use restaurant discovery platforms like Chope to help plan, reserve, and enjoy their meals at restaurants in Jakarta and Bali.
