Michelle Prasad is a researcher, project manager, and author. She has worked with Indonesian community members to document their life stories using participatory research methodologies. She has studied early writings and oral traditions to understand how modernity has shaped the lives of men, women, and children. Most recently, she researched the success of a community-based tourism enterprise in North Maluku, Indonesia, to empower women, protect the environment and preserve Indigenous food culture.
