Tamara Chavez

CANCHITA Peruvian Cuisine Singapore

With 14 years of international culinary experience under her belt, Mexican-born Tamara Chavez started her career in the traditional restaurants of Mexico City, and first moved to Singapore in 2014 as part of the opening team of Mexican fine dining restaurant El Mero Mero. Thereafter, she took on the position of Head Chef at TONO Cevicheria and subsequently OLA Cocina Del Mar. Fuelled by her passion to promote Latin American gastronomy and culture in her adopted home, Tamara helped launch LATINADA in 2018, Singapore‚Äôs first Latin American Festival. In 2021, Tamara became Head Chef of CANCHITA Peruvian Cuisine and was named finalist for the Female Chef Of The Year awarded by the World Gourmet Awards in 2021 and 2022. 

Dengan 14 tahun pengalaman kuliner internasional, Tamara Chavez kelahiran Meksiko memulai karirnya di restoran tradisional Mexico City dan pertama kali pindah ke Singapura pada tahun 2014 sebagai bagian dari tim pembuka restoran fine dining Meksiko El Mero Mero. Setelah itu, ia menjabat sebagai Kepala Koki di TONO Cevicheria dan kemudian OLA Cocina Del Mar. Didorong oleh hasratnya untuk mempromosikan gastronomi dan budaya Amerika Latin di rumah rantaunya, Tamara membantu meluncurkan LATINADA pada tahun 2018, Festival Amerika Latin pertama di Singapura. Pada tahun 2021, Tamara menjadi Kepala Chef CANCHITA Peruvian Cuisine dan dinobatkan sebagai finalis untuk Female Chef Of The Year yang diberikan oleh World Gourmet Awards pada tahun 2021 dan 2022.
