Book Launch: The Heart of the Spice Forest

The Heart of the Spice Forest is a book about the ancient culture and food of Cengkeh Afo and Gamalama Spices Community, an Indigenous community living in the oldest spice forest in the world. The book was produced amid the Covid-19 pandemic, as climate change and global catastrophes continued to threaten food systems, economic progress, and social equality. In such uncertain times, it is vital to acknowledge indigenous communities and take measures to integrate their knowledge into improving our society.
