Freddie Salim

Sumatran born, Freddie Salim is Chef Owner of Silk Bistro. He began his culinary journey in Sydney’s distinguished establishments such as Longrain, and Sokyo. During his time there, he received top accolades and was featured in Australia’s culinary bible, The Good Food Guide. He has since launched his own new project becoming Chef Owner of Silk Bistro in partnership with Biko Group where he specialises in blending old and new Asian flavours. Chef Freddie employs diverse cooking techniques to enhance the bold flavours, textures, and aroma of Asian dishes. Through his creations, he aims to evoke familiarity, foster connections, and create comfort food that resonate with the heart.

Lahir di Sumatra, Freddie Salim adalah Chef & Pemilik Silk Bistro. Ia memulai perjalanan kulinernya di sejumlah restaurant terpandang di Sydney seperti di Longrain dan Sokyo. Selama berada di sana, ia mendapatkan penghargaan bergengsi dan muncul di kitab kuliner Australia, The Good Food Guide. Ia lalu meluncurkan proyek barunya dan menjadi Chef & Pemilik Silk Bistro yang bermitra dengan Biko Group. Memiliki spesialisasi pada masakan Asia, Chef Freddie menggunakan beragam teknik memasak untuk meningkatkan rasa, tekstur, dan aroma masakannya. Melalui kreasinya, ia ingin membangkitkan keakraban, memupuk keterhubungan, dan menyajikan hidangan yang menyentuh hati.
