Fadly Amran, B.BA is the Mayor of Padang for the 2025–2030 term and the second-youngest mayor in the city’s history. He is recognised for his strong commitment to international city branding and is currently spearheading the campaign to establish Padang as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy by 2027. Through his dedicated advocacy, his administration recently achieved a major milestone by securing official national recognition for Padang as Indonesia’s Culinary Creative City under the PMK31 Programme of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in February 2026. His gastronomic vision for Padang also includes driving the revitalisation of the historic Padang Old Town.
