Hardian Eko Nurseto

Hardian Eko Nurseto is well-known as a former contestant of the eighth season of Master Chef Indonesia, but his full-time job is working as a Food and Cultural Anthropology lecturer and researcher at the prestigious Padjajaran University in Bandung, West Java. His research studies focus on how people’s religion, ethnicity, and other sociocultural attributes affect their eating habits. He is also actively involved in the Parti Gastronomi, a multidisciplinary collective which attempts to help locals reclaim their kitchens and boost the national food resilience.

Barangkali Hardian Eko Nurseto lebih dikenal sebagai mantan peserta Master Chef Indonesia season kedelapan, namun karir utamanya adalah bekerja sebagai dosen dan peneliti Antropologi Makanan dan Budaya di Universitas Padjadjaran yang bergengsi di Bandung, Jawa Barat. Penelitiannya berfokus pada bagaimana agama, kesukuan serta atribut sosial budaya lainnya mempengaruhi perilaku makan manusia. Ia juga bergiat dalam Parti Gastronomi, sebuah kolektif multidisipliner yang mencoba membantu orang lokal mengambil alih dapur mereka dan meningkatkan ketahanan pangan nasional.
