I Wayan Arca Bertayasa

I Wayan Arca Bertayasa is a Balinese coffee producer and the creative mind behind Ulian. He began his career in hospitality, making his mark as a mixologist under Scottish chef Will Meyrick, enhancing the cocktail menus at Sarong, Mama San and Hujan Locale, with stints in Hong Kong and Malaysia. In 2010, Arca returned to his roots, taking over his father’s coffee legacy and producing high-quality, fully washed beans. Drawing on his hospitality experience, he brought recognition to his brand, Ulian. As one of the few English speakers in his village, he built a network within the coffee community, promoting sustainable coffee production.

I Wayan Arca Bertayasa adalah produsen kopi asal Bali sekaligus pendiri Ulian. Ia memulai kariernya di dunia hospitality sebagai mixologist, bekerja bersama chef asal Skotlandia, Will Meyrick, di Sarong, Mama San, dan Hujan Locale, serta sempat menimba pengalaman di Hong Kong dan Malaysia. Pada tahun 2010, ia kembali ke desanya untuk melanjutkan usaha kopi keluarga, dengan memproduksi biji kopi berkualitas tinggi melalui metode fully washed. Berbekal pengalamannya di dunia hospitality, ia mengembangkan dan memperkenalkan brand Ulian, sekaligus membangun jaringan dalam komunitas kopi dan mendorong praktik produksi kopi yang berkelanjutan.
