Kim Hock Su

Kim Hock Su is the chef-patron of the one-Michelin-starred Au Jardin and a prominent figure in Penang’s gastronomic scene. With a background in hotel management from the United Kingdom, he found his true passion in the kitchen, honing his craft at esteemed establishments like The White Hart at Lydgate, Whatley Manor, and L’Enclume. A health scare brought him back to Penang, where he opened his first restaurant in 2014, followed by a second in Taipei, eventually representing Taiwan in the S.Pellegrino Best Young Chef Award for North East Asia. His return to Malaysia marked the creation of Au Jardin—one of only four restaurants in the country to earn a Michelin star in the 2023 Michelin Guide. Known for his inventive use of local ingredients and commitment to sustainable gastronomy, Chef Kim Hock is both a mentor and a community advocate, shaping the future of Malaysian cuisine with passion, humility, and boundless creativity.

Kim Hock Su mengelola Au Jardin, sebuah restoran terkenal di Penang yang telah meraih satu bintang Michelin. Dia menempuh pendidikan manajemen perhotelan di Inggris namun kemudian menemukan bahwa dia sangat mencintai memasak.
