Indonesia’s most beloved ingredient finally gets its moment, celebrated through the lens of Mei Batubara’s book Bananas of the Archipelago. Together with Chef Ragil Iman Wibowo, Mei brings two compelling dishes to life, sautéed squid with banana blossom and Sanggara Talame, a traditional fried banana delicacy from Eastern Indonesia, exploring the deep cultural roots, regional stories, and remarkable versatility of the humble banana across the archipelago.

Salah satu bahan makanan yang paling dekat dengan keseharian masyarakat Indonesia hadir lewat buku Bananas of the Archipelago karya Mei Batubara. Bersama Chef Ragil Imam Wibowo, Mei menghadirkan dua hidangan yang menunjukkan beragam olahan pisang di Indonesia: tumis cumi bunga pisang dan Sanggara Talame, pisang goreng khas Indonesia Timur. Lewat sesi ini, mereka mengajak audiens melihat bagaimana pisang telah lama menjadi bagian dari budaya kuliner Nusantara, dengan cerita dan cara pengolahan yang berbeda di setiap daerah.
