Blake Thornley is the chef and Co-owner of Mozaic in Ubud, whose culinary journey began at the age of eleven in his uncle’s restaurant, where he developed a strong work ethic and passion for cooking, quickly gaining recognition through culinary competitions. Drawn to Indonesian spices, he joined Mozaic in 2010 as Chef de Cuisine, working closely with Chris Salans. In 2016, he moved to Shanghai to help establish the OHA Group, where he played a key role in launching OHA Eatery, Table Black and the revival of Blackbird. His work earned international acclaim, with OHA Eatery recognised among the world’s top 10 restaurants by Condé Nast Traveller and multiple honours from Time Out, including Chef of the Year.
