Laksmi DeNeefe Suardana

Laksmi DeNeefe Suardana is the heart and mind behind Shelf Therapy Book Club. Born in Ubud, Bali, she grew up surrounded by stories, art, and culture, later living in Melbourne and Florence, where she developed a global perspective that fuels her passion for books and ideas. In 2020, she launched the first Ubud Writers & Readers Festival Book Club on Instagram Live, bringing readers together across borders and engaging younger audiences. Crowned Bali’s first Puteri Indonesia and Miss Universe Indonesia, Laksmi used her platform to champion literacy, education, and empowerment. As an ambassador of Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati, she continues to elevate voices and stories that matter. With a Business of Fashion degree and a deep love for creativity, she blends literature, culture, and community, using Shelf Therapy to spark conversations that inspire, challenge, and transform.
Laksmi DeNeefe Suardana adalah sosok di balik Shelf Therapy Book Club. Lahir dan besar di Ubud, Bali, ia tumbuh di lingkungan yang dekat dengan cerita, seni, dan budaya. Pengalamannya tinggal di Melbourne dan Florence membentuk cara pandangnya yang terbuka dan semakin memperkuat kecintaannya pada buku. Pada 2020, Laksmi memulai Book Club pertama dari Ubud Writers & Readers Festival melalui Instagram Live. Lewat program ini, ia mempertemukan para pembaca dari berbagai tempat sekaligus mengajak generasi muda lebih dekat dengan dunia literasi. Sebagai Puteri Indonesia Bali pertama dan Miss Universe Indonesia, Laksmi aktif mendukung isu literasi, pendidikan, dan pemberdayaan. Ia juga menjadi ambassador Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati yang berfokus pada pengembangan seni, budaya, dan pendidikan. Dengan latar belakang Business of Fashion dan ketertarikannya pada dunia kreatif, Laksmi memadukan literatur, budaya, dan komunitas melalui Shelf Therapy untuk menghadirkan percakapan yang inspiratif dan relevan bagi banyak orang.
