Petty Pandean-Elliott is an Indonesian author, chef, and consultant based in the UK. For over two decades, she has shaped a thoughtful, contemporary expression of Indonesian culinary traditions through her cookbooks, newspaper columns, magazine writing, and consultancy work both in Indonesia and internationally. Her book The Indonesian Table was published by Phaidon in 2023, followed by The Indonesian Vegetarian Table in April 2026—both celebrating the richness and diversity of the archipelago’s food culture. Petty is also a member of the Guild of Food Writers UK. She is currently a culinary consultant for Bejana, the Indonesian restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Bali, where she is crafting a menu that honours Indonesia’s regional cuisines and vibrant local ingredients, reimagined with a contemporary sensibility. Alongside her culinary work, Petty is deeply committed to community and education. She serves as a trustee of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Indonesia, an adviser to Yayasan Wisma Cheshire Indonesia, and Vice Chair of The Anglo-Indonesian Society UK.
