Set in the lush, fever-dream garden of the Blanco Museum, Gareth Whitton—Melbourne’s rebel tart master—reinvents dessert with bold, unexpected creations inspired by Indonesia’s untamed pantry. He’s joined by the inimitable French pastry chef Maxine Chene of Bali’s beloved 7am Bakery, the Room4Dessert team, and Chef Sutedjo of Fas.a.Fas fame. Together, they weave their unique magic around one long, riotous table. Sweet, savory, and surprising, this is afternoon tea turned on its top-hat head, echoing the whimsical tale of Alice in Wonderland. Think you’ve tasted it all? Think again.
