Abel Ortiz Alvarez is a Peruvian chef and entrepreneur who has brought his country’s vibrant food and culture to Hong Kong since 2014 as the founder of Chullschick Group. Abel graduated from the Institute of Gastronomic D’Gallia in Peru and the Institute of Gastronomic Celia in Córdoba, Argentina. He has worked with renowned Peruvian chefs such as Virgilio Martinez, whose restaurant Central in Peru was ranked number one, Jaime Pesaque of Mayta, ranked 47th by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, and Gastón Acurio, one of the most important Peruvian chefs and an ambassador of Peruvian cuisine. Chullschick, founded by Abel and his Hong Kong-raised wife Zoe, aims to share his love for Peruvian cuisine in a colourful and comfortable environment.
